AUCD 2024 Conference

Attend Emerging Leaders Trainee Events! 

The AUCD 2024 Conference will be held November 3-6 in Washington, DC. Registration closes on Friday, October 25th. We invite you to join us for two trainee events:


Trainee Networking Session: Sunday, November 3rd, 1:30pm-3:30pm

  • This event is for current and former trainees/fellows to connect with their peers across the AUCD network. Attendees will participate in interactive activities and meet others within and outside of their disciplines.

Trainee-Professional Networking Breakfast: Tuesday, November 5th, 7:15am-8:15am

  • Current and former trainees/fellows are invited to grab breakfast and chat with AUCD Network professionals. Attendees can expect to meet disability community professionals from various fields. Each table will feature professionals representing a discipline, ready to share their experiences. Continental buffet will be provided.

Basics of Social Security: Benefits & Policy Webinar Recording Available 

The Basics of Social Security: Benefits and Policy Webinar was presented on Thursday, September 26th. This webinar is for trainees who want to learn more about Social Security programs and policy discussions about improving them. The webinar featured AUCD staff and two guest speakers: 

  • Denise Rozell: Director, Policy Innovation at AUCD
  • Darcy Milburn: Director, Social Security and Healthcare Policy for the Arc of the United States
  • Michael Thornton: Self-Advocate faculty advisor for the Arkansas LEND Program
